Meet ISKCON Toronto’s New Pet Monkey!!!

Toronto’s Hare Krishna temple is excited to announce that we will be welcoming a new little creature to our New Remuna Dhama family.  A few months ago, the temple filed some papers to request permission to acquire a pet monkey from South America.

We learned this week that the City of Toronto’s Animal Services Division has approved the paperwork and the pet monkey will be arriving this week.  We were even sent a picture of him from the animal hospice in South America where he will be coming from!
Currently named Hasya, our new pet monkey will be re-named “Hanumana” during a special ceremony when he arrives which will be JUST in time for Rama Navami celebrations on Friday.
For all those who thought spiritualists don’t have a sense of humour, the ISKCON Toronto Blog would like wish you a Happy April Fool’s Day!  Sorry, there is no monkey coming to our temple! :o)
