We cordially invite you to one of our biggest festivals of the year, the appearance day of the most magnanimous– Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu. This year Gaura Purnima falls on Sunday, March 24th, 2024. We are delighted to share that we’re hosting a grand celebration!
Gaura or Lord Chaitanya appeared in a small town in eastern India over 500 years ago to remind us of the timeless wisdom in the texts of Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita. He encouraged everyone to educate themselves on the practicality of these teachings in the 21st century and to share this confidential knowledge of success with others.
Celebrations will begin at 1:00pm with a special kirtan program that will continue until 6:00pm when the festival program will begin; the schedule is as follows:
6:00pm Gaura Arati & Kirtan
6:30pm Spiritual Discourse
7:00pm Abisheka (Bathing) Ceremony for Sri Sri Gaura Nitai
8:00pm Arati & Kirtan
8:30pm Free Feast (Prasadam)
There will also be a special morning program beginning at 4:30am with Mangala Arati!
