Rama Navami Celebrations

Tuesday, April 16th marks the Appearance Day of Sri Ramachandra (popularly known as Rama Navami) and we will have two days of celebrations – Sunday, April 14th, and Tuesday, April 16th!
Lord Rama is an incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna. Sri Rama is the perfect monarch; He vanquished the maleficent king Ravana and established an age of peace and prosperity in His kingdom. He ruled His kingdom according to the injunctions of the Vedas (holy scriptures) and always put His subjects first. His lilas (pastimes) are narrated in The Ramayana and serve as examples of righteousness and following dharma (prescribed duty). The Ramayana depicts Sri Rama’s dedication to His wife Sita, His unbreakable bond with His brother Lakshmana, the stalwart devotee-companion Hanuman, and the remarkable ways in which they overcame the greatest of struggles.
