Toronto’s Hare Krishna temple has an exciting seminar coming in April. The temple’s Pujari Department, which manages the care of our beautiful Deities in ISKCON Toronto is welcoming all second initiated devotees to a seminar to learn about the Deity care that takes place here in Toronto.
The siminar is mandatory for all current Pujaris, and any second intitiated devotees who wish to serve on the altar in the future. At the end of the seminar devotees will recieve a certificate of completion. The seminar will begin on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm and will continue on upcoming Sundays (the length of the seminar series has yet to be determined).
The goal of this seminar will be to begin the process of training devotees to learn the special art of taking care of our special Deities here in New Remuna Dhama. As mentioned above, a requirement for the seminar is that attendees must be second initiated.
Devotees of Krishna who commit to vows and daily meditation can take initiation from a spiritual master. Second initiation, also known as “brahmana initiation”, is when the spiritual master gives sacred mantras to the disciple.
More information will be coming soon about this seminar so stay tuned. Until then, if you have questions, comments or would like to register, please email Bhakti Yoga Das.
