The Toronto Hare Krishna Temple is excited to announce that we have been collaborating with the Toronto Chinese Dragon Dance Academy for the last two months with the goal of sharing a special presentation to our community on Sunday, April 9, 2016.
The famous story of the Ramayana, an epic tale of conquest by Lord Ramacandra, will be presented by this special group of dragon dancers. They will be incorporating elaborate Chinese dragon costumes, incredible martial arts and traditional Chinese drums as they present the feats of Lord Rama to our community. Practices and rehearsals have been taking place over the last two weeks at our temple and final touches for the production are being made.

For those of you who figured we are too spiritual to play tricks on you, we’d like to wish you a Happy April Fool’s Day!!! Sadly, there will be no Chinese Dragon Dancers visiting our temple any time soon! (Check out previous years’ Aprils Fools jokes from 2016, 2015, 2010, and 2009!
