The Hare Krishna temple is excited to welcome HH Bhakti Brhat Bhagavat Swami back to Toronto!
Bhakti Brhat Bhagavata Swami, a former educationist, joined ISKCON in Durbanin 1983. Till 1988, he distributed over 30 000 books & has preached extensively to high school & university students. Till 1992 he served as the Vice-President of ISKCON Durban. In 1991, Maharaja founded the Bhaktivedanta Collegeof Education & Culture(BCEC) in South Africa. From 1997 to 2000 he served as President of ISKCON Durban. From 2001 to 2004 he accepted the responsibility of Co-President of ISKCON Vrndavana. From 2004 to 2006 he served as Regional Secretary for Gauteng in South Africa. Maharaja presently travels – preaching & teaching Krishnaconsciousness in ISKCON centers, yoga centers, schools, colleges & universities.
Many of us already know maharaja from his many visits, classes and seminars at our temple and are happy to have yet another opportunity to hear from him.
This week maharaja will be giving morning classes from 7:30am-9:00am on Thursday and Saturday, a talk during the Janmastami festival on Thursday evening, as well as a class on Sunday evening during the Sunday feast. Make sure not to miss it!
