Devotees Gather to Chant for Jayapataka Swami

Yesterday evening, devotees gathered at ISKCON Toronto, New Remuna Dhama, to have a reflective night of chanting and kirtan as we joined devotees around the world who continue to pray for the health and recovery of HH Jayapataka Swami.

Over 50 devotees gathered at the temple and the evening began with everyone sitting in front of Srila Prabhupada and chanting japa together. This continued for over an hour and there was a palpable, meditative mood in the air. Devotees then sang, with full hearts, the Nrsimha prayers leading into the 8:00pm arati.

As devotees took darshan of Sri Sri Radha Ksira-Cora Gopinatha, dressed in their simple night outfits, the Damodarastakam prayers were sung. After the arati had completed, devotees once again gathered close to Prabhupada’s altar and chanted the maha-mantra in unison for a few minutes.

HG Rupanuga das then addressed the assembled devotees and spoke beautifully as he emphasized the fact that all around the world devotees are chanting the Holy Name as we collectively pray for HH Jayapataka Swami.
