Lord Balarama symbolizes strength and compassion and we invite you to take part in the celebrations at the Hare Krishna Temple. Our schedule for the evening will be:
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Nama Yagna – Glorifying Lord Balarama through Kirtan
6:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Arati Led by the Youth
6:30 pm – 6:35 pm – Welcome and Announcements
6:35 pm – 7:15 pm – Class about Lord Balarama
7:15 pm – 7:20 pm – Mrdanga Demonstration by the Youth
7:20 pm – 8:00 pm – “Destroying Our Anarthas” – A Special Multimedia Presentation
8:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Arati
8:30 pm – Free Prasadam (Vegetarian Feast) for All!
After Lord Balarama’s appearance day, the countdown for Sri Krishna Janmashtami starts, the biggest birthday bash in town for Lord Krishna. This year, Janmashtami falls on August 24th, a Sunday and hence, we will be having exciting activities all weekend from August 23rd to August 25th.
