Nrsimha Yajna – April 26th

Thursday, April 30th, marks the auspicious occasion of Nrsimha Caturdasi – the Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimha. Lord Nrsimhadeva, a benevolent incarnation of Lord Krishna, manifests in a magnificent half-man, half-lion form. He descended to protect the devoted child – Prahlada Maharaja, from the tyranny of his father, the demon king Hiranyakashipu.

To honor this sacred day, we will be performing a Nrsimha Yajna on Sunday, April 26th at 4:00pm. For devotees of the Hare Krishna tradition, such ceremonies are an integral part of spiritual life. A fire yajna is a purifying ritual in which offerings of ghee (clarified butter), grains, and sacred herbs are made into the flames while chanting Vedic mantras. This powerful practice invokes divine blessings, purifies the environment, and fosters peace and auspiciousness for all.

In these challenging times, let’s take shelter of Lord Nrsimhadev’s blessings and protection. Send us your name to be included in the ceremony—completely free for everyone. If you feel inspired to contribute to the festival, you can donate HERE.

Please note we will also be celebrating Nrsimha Caturdasi on Thursday, April 30th from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
