The auspicious appearance day (birthday) of Sri Balarama, Sri Krishna’s older brother is Wednesday, August 30th! Lord Balarama symbolizes strength and compassion- and we all could do with a little bit of that! So we invite you to take part in the celebrations at the Hare Krishna Temple. Festivities will begin at 6pm, devotees are encouraged to dress in blue to honor Lord Balaram. We are also fortunate to have with us His Grace Hari Lila das visiting from Mayapur to give a spiritual discourse on the glories of Sri Balarama.
After Lord Balarama’s appearance day, the countdown for Sri Krishna Janmashtami starts – the biggest birthday bash in town for Lord Krishna! This year, Janmastami falls on Wednesday, September 6th. For more information click HERE!
