Nrsimha Caturdasi Celebrations

On Thursday May 4, 2023, ISKCON Toronto welcomes you to celebrate the appearance day of Lord Nrsimha, also known as Nrsimha Caturdasi. This is the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Lord Krishna who is fervently prayed to and remembered several times a day in all centres around the world. This most astonishing form of the Lord is known for removing hurdles on one’s spiritual journey, just like he did to protect his five-year-old devotee Prahalad who was attached to Him.
The festivities will proceed on the day as below:
6:00 PM Aarti and Kirtan
6:30 PM Spiritual Discourse
7:10 PM Dance Presentation
7:25 PM Abhishek Ceremony
8:00 PM Aarti and Kirtan
8:30 PM Vegetarian Feast
Note: For those who are fasting it is traditionally observed until dusk (~8:55 PM).
The program will also be broadcast live on our Youtube Channel. As always festivities like these are only possible with your contributions, click HERE to support our Temple.
