Over five thousand years ago, on the battlefield of Kuruksetra, Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad-Gita to His friend Arjuna when he was losing his nerve and backing out of his duty to fight. Fast forward to today, and the same message is available to each of us- the holistic approach to leading a life of joy, stability, and peace. This year Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, marks the day this life-changing conversation took place.
Thanks to Srila Prabhupada and his inspired disciples, that same Bhagavad-Gita has been translated into many languages like Persian and Russian and is read by millions.
We are happy to announce that after two years of virtual celebrations, we are back to in-person festivities. Please join us at ISKCON Toronto at 3:30 pm as we read the entire Bhagavad-Gita in Sanskrit and English (alternating chapters). The program will also include an Ekadasi (grain-free) feast served at the end of the reading and conclude with the 8:00 pm Arati.
During this auspicious time of Gita Jayanti, receive special blessings from Lord Sri Krishna, by sharing His message in the form of Bhagavad Gita. Get a copy for yourself, give your friends or sponsor for the Gift of Gita Program and we will place it on your behalf in various institutions. Learn more about Gift of Gita HERE!
