Radhastami Celebrations!

Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, marks the festival of Radhastami, the appearance day of Srimati Radharani. Srimati Radharani is the embodiment of devotion, the energy potency, and the merciful guide without whom one cannot hope to excel in bhakti (devotional service).

This festival also marks another important event at ISKCON Toronto. On Radhastami in 1972, our beloved Deities Sri Sri Radha Ksira-Chora Gopinatha were installed in a small Temple on Gerrard Street and have been the center of our community ever since.

This year’s festivities commemorate the 50th anniversary of Their Lordships’ advent in Toronto -which makes the celebrations extra special! The opportunity to experience Their amazing mercy on this auspicious day should not be missed! Festivities will begin at 5:00pm and culminate in a special Pushpa-Abisheka Ceremony at 8:00pm! In this ceremony, Their Lordships will be showered in thousands of fresh flower petals!

As an annual tradition, the highlight of the evening will be when we open gifts for Srimati Radharani. If you and your family feel inclined, you are welcome to bring or sponsor gifts for Their Lordships. Click HERE to Sponsor a gift or check below for some gift suggestions. The gift Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm!
