Our first big festival of the year will be marked by the advent (appearance) of Lord Nityananda on February 23, 2013! Lord Nityananda, an incarnation of Lord Balarama, appeared as Lord Chaitanya’s principal associate for spreading the congregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord. This festival is a special one for ISKCON Toronto and often features very sweet, intimate and spiritually-soaked festivities. Devotees are encouraged to come to the program wearing the colour blue, the colour commonly associated with Lord Nityananda!
As for all of our festivals, there are sponsorship opportunities for the feast and for a special treat, a cake for Lord Nityananda! If you would like to contribute or would like more information, please contact us at info@torontokrishna.com.
The schedule is as follows (subject to change):
4:00pm: Flower Outfit Darshan
6:00pm – 6:30pm: Arati (Kirtan)
6:30pm – 6:40pm: Welcome and Announcements
