As many of our readers know, Toronto’s famous Hare Krishna Temple recently re-opened Govindas to the public. While initially open just for lunch hours, Govindas has now officially expanded it’s hours for lunch and dinner.
NOW Magazine, a very popular Toronto weekly newspaper, recently highlighted Govindas in their Restaurant Review section and had nothing but positive things to say! Click here to read the little blurb about Govindas or read the review below.
Go Go Govinda’s – The least pretentious and perhaps most inexpensive eatery in Yorkville, Govinda’s (243 Avenue Road, at Roxborough, 416-922-5415) has reopened in the Hare Krishna temple. Closed for renovations, the cavernous hall now sports a new marble floor and a truncated though still tasty vegetarian Indian lunch and dinner spread. The price? An eight buck donation, $5 for students Monday to Saturday, and free as part of the group’s Sunday Feast.
