Last week, HG Uttama Sloka das visited ISKCON Toronto and conducted a one-week Bhagavad Gita course focused on real-life applications of the teachings of the Gita. Covering topics like releasing negativity, fighting anger, developing self-esteem and cooperation, the course was an amazing experience for the attending devotees as we learned about how verses in the Gita directly speak about these very important themes!
The course was also successfully streamed online throughout last week! Over the course of the week, we had over 500 people log on to view the live video stream and about 10-15 people consistently attended each two and a half hour classes every evening.
As many of our regular blog visitors may have seen, we also had a small chat window for people who were viewing online to ask questions or give comments during the course. Devotees from as far away as Russia and Australia logged in and asked questions and gave comments that contributed to the discussion during the course.
The one week course was a big hit and devotees at ISKCON Toronto eagerly await Uttama Sloka das’ next visit to New Remuna Dhama. The ISKCON Toronto Blog also plans on streaming more classes in the near future so stay tuned! Hare Krsna!
