Honouring Srila Prabhupada – Oct. 25th

The Hare Krishna Temple warmly invites everyone to join us for a reflective evening as we observe the disappearance anniversary of Srila Prabhupada on Saturday, October 25th, at 6:00 p.m. On this sacred day, devotees all over the world gather to remember His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the beloved Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), who departed from this world in 1977.

Srila Prabhupada did not leave us behind—he left us with his books, instructions, temples, and personal example. His disappearance is not a moment of sorrow but a time of deep reflection, gratitude, and reconnection with his eternal presence. Srila Prabhupada had this to say about the disappearance of vaisnavas:

“As Lord Krishna’s appearance and disappearance are all spiritual, transcendental, they are not ordinary things, similarly Lord Krishna’s devotee, His representative, who is sent to this material world for preaching the glories of Lord Krishna’s. Therefore, according to Vaisnava principles, the appearance and disappearance of a Vaisnava are considered all auspicious.”
