Due to protocols and regulations in place due to COVID-19, we are unfortunately unable to conduct our traditional Ratha-Yatra on a grand scale. Celebrations will go on nonetheless; beginning on July 16th with the ever-popular 12-Hour kirtan. Once again this will be conducted virtually with kirtanyas from around the globe!
Festivities will culminate on the weekend of July 17-18th; to continue the tradition of Lord Jagannatha coming out to see the many devotees of Toronto! Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra will cruise along our usual parade route in a convertible car. The Deities will continue Their procession by traveling across the GTA, giving Their darshan to everyone. This means devotees can have an opportunity to have “drive-by” contactless darshan. Their Lordships will be stopping in various locations on Saturday, July 17th and Sunday, July 18th. At these locations, devotees will be directed to drive by the Deities (without exiting their car) to have darshan.
